Hello everyone! We have welcomed several new congregations into the Room In The Inn - Memphis family this season.
Please note: In response to charges of code violations, Trinity United Methodist Church
held a town hall meeting on November 17th. The meeting was very informative and
underscored the community's commitment to helping the least of these.
A variance to the code has been requested and is in process. As a result, the city has agreed to
not issue any citations for the Trinity UMC location until the request has been resolved.
Work on changing the city code requirements is moving forward, but is recognized as a lengthy
process. In the meantime, we are continuing to do what God has called us to do.
Please consider becoming a host congregation for this important and fulfilling work!

In 2010 Colonial Cumberland Presbyterian Church decided to open its doors to members of the Memphis homeless population. We chose to model Room in the Inn, Nashville who has been doing this type of work for over 25 years. While still in its infancy, Room in the Inn, Memphis hopes to increase the number of people served through recruiting volunteers and volunteer churches.
Room in the Inn, Memphis provides dinner and breakfast, a shower (depending on the facilities available) and a warm bed to sleep in for our guests one night a week during the coldest winter months (November 1 through March 31). We would love to come tell you and your congregation about the amazing things going on through this ministry. We can offer training and guidance through our experiences.
Contacting us is as easy as clicking here. Simply fill out the form and let us know how you would like to help or if there is any information we can provide. If you would like to join us one evening to meet our guests and volunteers, we invite you to come and be blessed.
